Chastan woke up and yawned stretching out before getting up and grabbing his cigs and a lighter going to the deck.

Aiden blinked open his eyes a little as chastan grabbed his cigarettes. He didn't move till Chastan was out on the deck though. He sat up and looked after where Chastan had gone

Chastan lit one and leaned on the railing. He knew it was bad for him,but he thought it was better them cutting.

Aiden came out silently and asked "When did this start?" his voice emtionless, and dark

Chastan looked over to him "I don't know. At least a half of a ear ago. I do it instead of cutting" he said and looked down. His torso and his arms were covered in scars. His legs had some to but you couldn't see those.

Aiden came over and gently ran his fingers over the scars "why were you cutting?" He asked gently, now concern and sadness in his voice.

"A lot of reasons. I had, still have, really bad depression. And small things would set it off. Must of the time I cry my self to sleep. " he said and ok another drag.

Aiden looked him in the eyes "I don't like it chastan, smoking is just like pulling the trigger, or " his voice caught as he said "or hanging yourself. Only its in slow motion, so those who care about you get to watch and know they can't help you unless you want it." He toke chastan's hand and gently started kissing every scar on that arm. "I wis you were happy. I wish Icould give you a reason to not cut, or smoke."

"I have tried to hang myself, it jut came back" he said and looked over to him. "I Always come back" he said quietly and put out the cigarette. Chastan stared at him "you are doing your best so it is fine"

Aiden froze when he said he had tried to hang himself. He looked at him, his eyes panicked now, scared. He hugged him tightly "please, never again. It is never that bad. I swear to god, it is never that bad, and it will get better." He said gently.

Chastan just shrugged "that is why I smoke" he said quietly. "Nothing will ever kill me. Might as we'll smoke then cut" he sad scuffing.

Aiden shook his head "neither are good for you. Besides, it may not kill you, but cancer isn't fun." He said and kissed him lightly before walking away, going back inside

Chastan sat down on the deck pulling his knees up and crying into them.

Aiden came back out and came over to him and hugged him tightly "chastan, lovey. I'm not upset. Worried, not upset.Please don't cry. Please."

"No you the me just like everyone else" he said quietly and rubbed his eyes. "You can just leve. I know you don't want me anymore"

Aiden shook his head "I want you just as much as Idid five minutes ago. I'm worried for you, I'm scared. I don't want to lose you, or watch you be in pain like Ihad to with Bret. But I still like you, a lot and all because you smoke won't change my feelings for you except now I want to protect you even more. And if it comes to watching you be in pain, I'll be here for you, Iwouldnt even leave you then."

Chastan looked up at him and nodde holing onto him not letting go.

Aiden kissed his cheek and held him tightly,

"Promise you so leave" he said so quietly that it almost went unhesred.
