Alec kissed his head gently, smiling. He looked confused when his phone started to ring. He picked it up off the side table and looked even mroe confused by the name 'Caleb N.' he answered it "Hey buddy, it's been a wh-" he was cut off by talking on the other side. Alec covered his mouth with his hand and closed his eyes tight as tears started to roll down his face. "Mrs. Nolt, I'll be there in a few minute." he said almost managing to keep his voice steady. "Just take deep breathes and wait for the officials to get there." with that he hung up and he starred off into nothingness, tears streaming down his face.

Alec held onto Daniel tightly and started crying hard, hiding his face in him. "I-I didn't e-even k-know he was home f-from vacation." he said breathing quickly. "I-I d-didn't k-know something was wrong." his fingers curled up in his shirt tightly.
