Chris carefully picked Alec up and brought him to the kitchen. He sat in te chair and carefully played with his hair. "Alec all this was a accident. You didn't mean to knock him down you didn't set it for this to happen. So it wasn't your fault and you know it" he said quietly.

Alec buried his face into his father's neck "I don't want him to be hurting, I don't want him to be stressed or frustrated." he said shaking "I've always been worried that we would grow apart because he rarely ever just cuddle, it always ends up more, but this isn't how I wanted that problem to be fixed."

Alec shook his head "I can't. Everytime I see him, unable to walk, everytime I help him in and out of the wheelchair I remember how I put him there." he said quietly.

Alec didn't say anything, he'd sunk back into old ways of being completely silent, not even making whimpering noises, and his only movement is his slight uncontrollable shaking. This habit is what he learned to do after a year of his mother abusing him, and on occasion his father being forced to. When ever he had made noise of anysort his mother had hurt him more painfully and if he moved even to shift his weight somewhere else she'd scream at him and kick him more after a while he'd learn to be completely silent and completely still to make it go away faster.

Chris sighe "I am sorry Alec. I didn't mean to yell at you" he said quietly. He looked at him "you want some ice cream?" He asked. He used to sneak into Alec's room with ice cream when the she devil was asleep.
